Transmitting Goodwill

I believe people are in this life to be messengers for the truth. Our purpose as spiritual messengers is to release blockages in energy pathways so that everyone can live in harmony with nature and create their dreams without fear of loss or suffering. The way we can do this is to use our ability to forgive and see the truth in others as the means to enlightenment. In reflecting their true nature beyond the physical appearance, others can move beyond their stories and fears to peace.

The peace that resides in everyone is what connects us as a whole. We can deliver this message of peace through forgiveness and love. We can show others that there is no need for guilt, shame, sadness, and suffering. Time exists only in the mind, so we are the creator of our experience in the eternal present. We must lift the veil, see beyond appearances, and let go of all that we have learned about who we think we are.

It is important to transmit the universal language of truth by making a connection at the level of thought. By transmitting thoughts of peace and goodwill to your friends and clients, you reflect their own inner beauty, and you can raise the frequency of their thoughts.

Recipe for Success: Transmitting Goodwill

This is a very powerful exercise to send thoughts of goodwill to someone with whom you are having resistance. Now just follow these instructions and prepare to feel a real change of heart.

  • Start with relaxation breathing. What this means is that on the inhale, breathe in slowly and deeply, receiving the breath from the universe.
  • As you exhale, transmit positive thoughts to a person with whom you are having resistance.
  • On the inhale, receive another breath from the universe.
  • On your exhale, send out thoughts of goodwill and peace to the person.

Now answer the following questions in your journal:

  1. What did you experience as you did this exercise?
  2. Did you notice any changes in your body?
  3. How did your breathing change?
  4. Did you notice a softening in your heart?
  5. How did your thoughts about yourself change?
  6. How did your thoughts about the other person change?

So, when you have limiting thoughts and judgments, practice sending out thoughts of goodwill and peace to the person you are judging. You will not only change the thought patterns for yourself, but your enemy will become your friend.


Energy Awareness Game

This is a fun little game that will really get your macrobiotic juices flowing.

Just follow these easy steps and don’t stray too far from your journal!

  • Stand with your feet about shoulder width apart.
  • Close your eyes.
  • Rub your hands together until you feel heat coming from them.
  • Separate your hands and hold them two inches apart.
  • Rotate one hand, while keeping the other hand still.
  • Now switch hands and rotate the opposite hand, while keeping the second hand still.
  • Slowly widen your hands and then bring them closer together.
  • Finally, open your eyes and write about your experience.

Now this is where your journal will really come handy again, because, believe it or not, that little exercise will reveal a whole lot about you and your awareness.

  1. What did you feel after you rubbed your hands together?
  2. Did you notice any changes in temperature?
  3. What did you notice when you rotated your hands?
  4. What differences did you feel before and after the exercise?

Although your physical body appears to be a separate entity, your energetic body shows you that there is no distinct boundary where one layer ends and the other begins. The energy of your aura interacts with other auras, flowing in and out, affecting the wider energetic field. In this way, you are actually part of a universal energetic field that you can manipulate, creating a web of interconnected energies. So, what you do to others affects everyone in return; the good you do to the universe comes back to you.

By changing your thoughts and perspectives, you can create a world of peace. By living your joy, you vibrate on the highest frequency of love. By showing love and respect for yourself and others, you show the true way to see yourself and how to nurture your own spiritual growth.

Positive Evidence Journal

A positive evidence journal is where you write about all the wonderful things that happened to you during the day. You’ll write about everything that worked and the changes that are going on in your life. Create a list of positive affirmations and look for the positive evidence. This helps you develop your awareness of the spiritual forces at play on your behalf.

Diary

Then make a list of the opportunities and blessings that you receive. Even the small things, like getting a terrific parking space or eating energetically balanced food, are positive evidence. We often take these small things for granted, and we can become more aware of them by writing about them in our journals.

Express gratitude for the abundance that is flowing to you. What small things are you grateful for? Notice how your list becomes longer every day.

Example of Positive Evidence Journal

Begin each day with a positive affirmation. Start off with an affirmation that meets you where you are. When you are ready, create a new affirmation, each one building on the next, as you move up the vibrational scale. This helps you shift your beliefs so that you become more aligned with what you want. These are progressive affirmations. For example, you may discover something like:

  1. I need help remembering I am worthy.
  2. I am beginning to remember I am worthy.
  3. I remember more and more I am worthy.
  4. I am seeing evidence I am worthy.
  5. I am seeing more and more evidence I am worthy.

Next, look for positive evidence that you are a worthy person. If a person spoke respectfully to you, write it down. For example, “The cashier at Walgreens told me to have a nice day.” Think about that positive evidence and pay attention to how it made you feel. Don’t worry – you don’t have to do this alone! Simply use the following questions as your guide and be honest:

  1. Did you notice any shifts in your body?
  2. Were there any changes in your emotions?
  3. Did you experience any changes in your thoughts?
  4. Were there any changes in your posture?

Pay close attention to the answers you wrote in your journal and take the time to reflect on past journal entries every now and then. You are just beginning your spiritual journey, but soon you will be able to see the progress you have made and the difference between where you began and where you will end up.

Remember, a spiritual journey has no end, but every journey starts with a beginning – and you are off to a fantastic start!

Autumn is in the Air

Food provides more than necessary nutrients (protein, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals) for healthy organ and immune functions. In macrobiotics, food is also important in maintaining overall energetic balance of the body, mind, emotions, and spirit.

Macrobiotics basically is about living in harmony with the natural order. For example, as each season unfolds, plants adjust to the energy of their environment. I also harmonize with each season by adjusting cooking styles and eating seasonal, locally grown, energetically balanced foods.

Autumn is in the Air

Autumn is a time of gathering the harvest and preparing for winter. Downward gathering, condensing energy of autumn manifests as rain, falling leaves, and cool crisp weather. Warming root stews, pressure cooked brown rice, and long cooked sautes are cooking styles I like to include in autumn.

One of my favorite autumn recipes is Curry Pumpkin Seed Sauce:

Curry Pumpkin Seed Sauce

1 cup toasted pumpkin seeds
1 clove garlic
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons chickpea miso or sweet white miso
2 teaspoons mild curry powder
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup spring water

  1. Blend all ingredients in a blender.
  2. Adjust thickness by adding more water.
